Woman Streaking

A small streak of an island in the Atlantic. On no map. In heavy summer heat. Memories and messages graffitied on the pier wall. A chance encounter with a beautiful elusive woman. A murder. Or was it? Nothing seems completely real. Only the graffitied memories are constant. This is a dream-like, experimental and beautifully colored "impossible" story about a man on an island, who can't distinguish dream and reality, or the present and the past. Trazo de Tiza has earned a long list of international awards, including the 1994 Alph Art Award in Angoulome, the Best Book of the 1994 Salon del Comic in Barcelona, the 1993 award for Best Book by the Association of Special Booksellers in France, Honor Award from the Amadora (Portugal) book fair, the 1994 Austrian Critics Award as Best Book of the Year and the 1994 Best Book of the Year Award of the Hyores (France) book fair. The 1995 English edition, Streak of Chalk, was nominated for both Harvey and Eisner Awards.

When best friends Max (Brian Hooks - "3 Strikes", "Nothin' 2 Lose"), Drew (Darryl Brunson - "Tha Eastsidaz", "Blue Streak"), Jellyroll and J-Ron (Troy Winbush -"John Q") graduated from high school, they made a bet to see which one would bring the sweetest, most beautiful woman to their ten year reunion. Ten years and some creative investing later, their $50 bet is now worth $50,000! As the reunion draws near, each guy has his eyes on the fresh kitty. The only problem is, none of them can find a date! What to do? Go online, check out some chat rooms, and find the woman who's gonna deliver the prize! After lining up a series of hilarious dates to narrow the field, the guys each think they've found their dream date, and set out to collect their 50k. The reunion, though, doesn't go as planned, and the guys quickly find they've been duped by their women, and that they really shouldn't believe everything they're to - or see - inside an internet chat room.
